Curriculum

Reading:  We use the Harcourt basal reader for reading.  Students are busy everyday with a variety of literacy skills.  Each day is filled with many opportunities to read:  shared reading, poems, big books, guided reading in a small group setting, and Accelerated Reading.  One of my goals is to develop a love of reading in all children!  During reading , we will focus on phonological awareness, book and print awareness a wide variety of literature, letter-sound knowledge, vocabulary, comprehension, and writing.
